Facebook Twaddle Poem

this is my facebook twaddle poem! could you live without Facebook? Really? what are the good and bad points about Social Media, tell me your thoughts? Katy my cat is always on the laptop checking her catbook page! meow!

now we all talk a load of twaddle
for a doddle
each day we come on here
we tell our news and views and thoughts
and things which we hold dear
a photo of our dearest pet
an anniversary to celebrate
a thoughtful note to say goodnight
before it gets too late
some things we just dont understand
people in a world of their own
they say odd things
or simple moan and groan
little trolls sometimes appear
and we need to pull them by the ear
so behave you naughty thing
just because you are on social media
doesn’t allow you to be mean
is there any criteria
with this social media
lets tap away on the keyboard
oh lord
what glory
another story!
lets tell a tale or two
lets tell everyone what we did today
one more time
and through and through
then sing a song
and say hello
lets get cross
and then bellow
facebook farce its here again
we keep in touch
it can never wain
a daily post
it is the most
that we can do
so I say to you
could you live without Facebook?
has it really got you on a hook?
I love to see you each day
and natter natter natter
when really I should go for a walk
or I could get fatter and fatter and fatter!
my imagination it does run riot
I have a facebook hungry diet
I arrive each day
that is the way
of life it seems to day!
Social media an amazing deal
is it something you really feel
that you could not live without
would you clammer crawl and shout
if you could not post or make a twitter
when you could go for a run
and just get fitter!
this a daft ditty for sure
so ill run and hide
behind that door!

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at https://rosypoems.com
