Tea for two

Or tea just for me

Let’s sit down

And drink some tea

In a mug

Or porcelain cup

Which ever you love

To take your sup

With some milk

And sugar sweet

Or black tea

Just take it neat!

Earl grey for you

Or green tea

Or just simply rosy lee

A nice cuppa tea

Is what we Brits love most

In the morning with our toast

Or in the afternoon

It’s a tradition still

4pm we take our fill

First quenching tea

Cake too

Is what we have to see us through

Til evening

When it’s time for dinner

But beware!

That cake

Won’t make you thinner!

But I think we all would agree

That’s there’s nothing quite like a nice cuppa tea

To sit and rest

And let our minds ease

Whilst we sit and drink our teas!

And my lucky Chinese teapot (still waiting!)

Author: Rosy

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at https://rosypoems.com
