Rosy Mck2h  · thank you Gina for this poem, yes in my ultimate wisdom as i lose my eyesight i did the 2nd year of a counselling course, was not allowed to carry on as they said if you have a death in your family you cant do it, as my mum died one year and then my dad, they were married for over 65 years and could not live without each other, they were lovely people. My husband turned into a monster, after 18 years denigrating me and being nasty, would chuck any item i put in the shopping trolley on the floor, think it funny, ignore me and not get me an icecream when out with the children, lovely eh! Life has been hard and now i have about 5% vision left it is not much fun…. isolation.. is the name of the game… Life is lemons but im still here..

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at
