Found some pretty crocuses in my garden today
Nearly Spring ditty
the wind may be howling
the rain is pouring
but a hint of Spring
is just the thing
we need!
the news is dreary
and makes us feel weary
viruses, wars, rain and more
people shouting
being cross
no patience
inconvenience
rats in cages
consuming more
whilst people die just on the floor
so … I will go in my garden
get away from it all….
a Spring bloom..
not very tall
is peeping through the grass
purple and pretty
a tiny bud
finding its way
to cheer the day
on this wet windy hue
where one can feel sad and blue
there is a lovely flower
to show its head
and prove with love
that hope is not yet dead!
look in your heart for something pretty
and even a bit witty
on this Spring hail
of a day….
