Clapping in Borth

Helen took them to have some fun
Polly guide dog and her mum
Singing loudly for all their worth
By the sea in Wales, lovely Borth
Polly thought this is not bad
But not much fun to be had
Sitting quietly while they sing
Is really not Pollys “thing!”
Then what a great mishap
The singers all startled to clap
And Polly guide dog got up smart
And wagged her tail with all her heart
The singers all thought oh poor Polly
She is so cute and it’s such a folly
So they all waved their hands instead
So Polly stayed still on her bed!
How thoughtful all these singers be
Thinking of furry little me
Now let’s go on the beach
thats enough songs for them to teach
And have a run
That really has to be done
Happiness will fill my every bone
to see the sea before I go home
I love the sea you see
And so does mum
our home by the shore
was where it all begun
In Southend on sea
we often dream to be
eating biscuits
and drinking tea
well I love aunty Helen and also Sue
they played with me on the beach its true
Borth in Wales on cardigan bay
with no woolly jumpers I have to say

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at
