Sit on that!

Now Katy cat is very sweet

But alas not meek

Upon my tea time table she is sat

And that is that

If I ask you round for tea

There might just be a flea

In your cup or on your knee

She likes to sit up high it seems

Where she can dream

To chase a mouse

Around the house

Catch a bird

It’s often heard

Her paws are tucked in

That is the thing

That these subtle cats can do

So whilst a lovely bed is here for you

Katy dear

Have no fear

On other comfy places she has a mind

To find

And plonk herself there

Without a care

So Katy cat lets all rejoice

With a voice

To say

I’m sat here

And that is it me dear

I’ll stay until it’s time for tea

Then see what treats are in store for me

Then I’ll prowl the garden

It is a jungle for sure

As I peep out the door

A cats life is a luxury

If you have a mum like me

Of course!

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at
