I’m a Punch Bag Today!

A little reminder – Sometimes people when they are having a bad day or upset themselves will take it out on you but never take this personally it is all about them and how they are feeling, our actions and words reflect our inner being

People may shout

And put you down

But don’t frown

Be brave and put on a smile

Cos in a while they will see

How horrid and silly they can be

Just stay calm

Avoid the harm

It’s their mindset not yours inside

Though it hurts

Those nasty words

There’s a tear in your eye

As you try not to cry

But their premise it surely is

So don’t get in a ‘tis

When people can’t cope

It’s easier you see

To blame little ol “me”

Than face the truth

Of what they themselves behold

And are being so cold

Every action you take

And every word you utter

Is all about you

You see

So think carefully

What you say and do

The little saying is so true

Treat others as you would be treated yourself

And put all that bad feeling on the shelf

Follow your heart

Right from the start

Don’t let their noise

Drown out your voice

Karma comes in the end

To set the balance straight

As you walk through that gate

To peace and happiness

Peace Love Hope Respect

Author: Rosy

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at https://rosypoems.com
