A couple of Christmas’s ago my family and I went to stay in a cottage for the holiday, it was at Sea Palling Norfolk coast. In a wreckers cottage we had a lovely time there. This cottage was used to keep bounty found on the ships or robbed by pirates

Wreckers cottage lies on the coast
there for Christmas I had a toast
toast for breakfast
toast of champagne
again and again
it was a festive fill
really brill
with my family all together
amid the stormy Norfolk weather
Norfolk Sea Palling there it is
dont get in a tis
you will find it there
but beware
a pirates hideout it used to be
as they used to take their booty there
and now it is empty all deserted too
its a holiday let for a week or two
the secret room all hidden away
is still there to this very day
the ghosts are there it is very true
its shivery and what a hue
you hear them whilst you try to sleep
so dont peep
walking round
they do abound
because if look you do
they will say more than just boo
they will scare you to death once more
as they come drifting through the door
looking for the things they have left behind
do you mind
I dont think you will
it could give you a thrill
in the dark
in the wind
in the cold
the sand dunes blowing in the cold breeze
so whilst you sleep
in slumbers still
the wreckers will come and take their fill
they are but ghosts
you cannot see
they are invisible to you and me
but the cold blast of spooky air
will make you jump up and stare
and your hair
well it will stand on end
and you will not be able to defend
yourself as these ghostly spirits to appear
and steal from you what is precious and dear
so when the mists have all gone to sea
and a Christmas celebration is there for you and me
no one knew these wreckers were here
but perhaps a stranger or someone dear
will let you know the true intent
as a lovely time was spent
in Wreckers cottage to be true
I would highly recommend to you
a holiday haunt to take a break
but be careful not to wake
The ghostly pirates will never leave there
so meet them if you really dare
give them your booty to be sure
and dont forget to close the door
as you leave it is so quiet now
I really dont see how
this peaceful haunt could hold such treachery!!!
