Life aspects

As we get older the World seems not such a good place. But we have to have hope and positivity for future generations. For me in this country I think during the Second World War before I was born and just after and when I was a child there was a lot of comrady as people looked out for each other and cared for each other and their families. As time has gone on this has been lost gradually more and more so, with now with confusion about morality, polyamorous activity being trendy, adults my age acting very like teenagers, without responsibility or maturity and people’s values going down the toilet. So many people are divorced and separated and flitting  from one person to another as social media makes it so easy to create relationships which are often superficial,  not always as we know

A comparison

Last Sunday it was very hot here in Southend on sea and lots of day trippers came to the beach for the day. When they left they did not take their rubbish with them like we used to do when we went out on a picnic and dispose of it ourselves and the beach was littered with drink cans packets etc, who do they think or expect is going to pick up after them?  Volunteers had to go and clear it up!

In the second world thousands of soldiers were stranded on Dunkirk beach and could not get home as there were not enough boats so fishermen and people with boats all around the coasts of Uk risked their lives from being bombed and sailed their vessels to this beach to rescue their fellow comrades soldiers of the war

That’s the diffference

As civilation has evolved people place more emphasis on possessions and have to work long hours to pay for possessions and mortgages . When my son went to help build a school in Africa all the children were happy because they didn’t have loads off stuff didn’t want it and didn’t miss what they didn’t have

I did a sociology couse once abd a topic was about a secluded tribe that was brought into western civilisation and they all became very disatisfied with their lives as they craved for things in the western world which they could not have.  a lot them become depressed got drunk and were angry

Not everyone is like this of course

If you can find a heathy sensible balance that is the key and someone to share your life with helps

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at
