Well as it’s the Royal Wedding tomorrow 19 May 2018 here is something for the occasion – A poem and the painting is an oil painting I did of my daughter in her wedding dress
A Right Royal Wedding
A princess stayed in her tower so tall
it was the most wonderous day of all
for today her Prince would ride by
and with a great big loving sigh
whisk her off her feet
so dainty and complete
to take her down the isle
in adoring and loving style
he’d already got down on one knee
and asked her whilst sipping afternoon tea
to marry him and be his wife
through troubles and all that stuff and strife
she had curtseyed and said yes of course I will
I love you now and for ever you will fill
My heart with love
Blessed from the stars above
so a beautiful dress she did put on
a lovely veil and all her sorrows gone
for now she’d found true love for ever
they would not part no not now never
So a wonderous day in London town
where every soul dressed in a beautiful gown
if not that such happy smiles
whilst the public cheered and walked in files
as the lovely couple their wedding day set
lots of happiness for sure this day you bet
another Royal Wedding for sure
Something we all so adore
So as they cheer aloud
that very happy merry supporting crowd
Weddings are made of dreams it true
and they love each other through and through
Another fairytale love to be sure
as we open up another door
and see them safely on their way
to be happy for all time to come from this day
So cheer aloud and send good wishes
with vast amounts of love and kisses
A Royal Couple to be sure
is what we all really adore
Congratulations and all the best
to the beautiful pair in their love nest
Raise your glasses very high
give out a laugh and happy sigh
this day is beautiful to be wed its Spring
it is the most lovely thing
to be sure
now ill close the door
and let them be
Now their faces fill with glee
with each other alone spend time
and I will end this little rhyme
with good wishes for the Happy souls today
As we see them on their merry way
May they live for ever Happy Ever More
As they fade and dance on marbled floor
That tower held no pretence
Around it built a happy fence
To secure this Royal blood so true
To see them happy through and through
princess and prince you must go hither
Do not dither
And this story ends in happy ever after
With much fun love care and laughter
Happy days
All in a haze
Bless you both on this happy occasion!
