Brothers … oh bother!

Chrissy my dear daughter true

i do so dearly love you

she is the eldest of my  three

two younger brothers i gave to thee!

oh no this surely cant be!

when out popped brother two to see!

not another brother

what a bother

i thought one was enough

oh dear me!

she said to me and her dad

not another boy its so mad!

a sister i really wanted but i guess he will do

i still love em through and through

i am the eldest so i am in charge

so they have to behave

and i kept at large

all their naughty ways ive kept in hand

as on their bottoms they often land

Nick pinching me when mums not looking

and up to mischief Rob is always cooking!

now grown up are all we three

and so not often do i see

my two brothers as oft i wished

as they have other things on their dish

to ponder more so it is true

thank their sister here

whose feeling blue

cos on the telephone i do ring them up

whilst they are out or at sup

please brothers dear remember your sis

and please not let me hiss

at you to say hi

as the days go quickly by

would be lovely to hear from you

cos i really love you through and through

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at
