that time is upon us now the first day of Advent what does that mean to you? is it just a merry feast or does the meaning of life ring true? Jesus that babe was born in our World so forlorn to walk and give us hope amid the craziness well, was it within his scope? the harshness, it surrounds us still as we tread our daily mill But then in Bethlehem Gold Franincense and Myrrh A donkey sheep and oxen no sign of yelping puppy or kitten with a pur curled up on your Christmas mat or hiding in your woolley hat and a gift so surely true the wonder of a babe a youngster amid the hue so this little poem is really just to say if you have a lovely pup or kitten on this Christmas Day as a gift I know you have heard it all before But i just want to reiterate once more its never too late you know keep that kitty and pup forever more don’t chuck them out the door their little hearts will be broken as yours would surely too if someone locked you out with no dinner to face a crazy World alone and you’d surely catch the flu! with no one to love or care as you wander in the night seeing lots of monsters to give you a horrid fright cos love is what we all need humans and animals yes you don’t need to guess not just when cute and tiddly but when older and often quite fiddly! so that old saying please remember it does ring true a Pet is Not Just For Christmas It Is Forever that’s what i say to you!

I became interested in poetry about a year ago and try to write about things from my heart that are associated with events in my life or events going on in the World at large or closer to home. I am a visual artist and still am to a certain extent having exhibited some of my work as a visually impaired artist using sponges to paint. I have lost most of my eyesight in recent years to advanced glaucoma and my vision is now very limited I am finding my creativity now evolving in writing poetry and hope to publish my own book of verse in the future. I have a blog page on Wordpress where I share my poetry, art, photography, thoughts and favourite quotes and prayers at
